We worked with the owners of this new build property during the construction phase, to help specify finishes and create an interior design that would enhance the striking architecture. The design process was influenced by the large expanses of glass and variety of natural building materials used. The clients were keen to emphasise the natural features, and make the most of the natural light that floods each room. The building has impressive eco-credentials, and so all materials used were also sourced from sustainable, environmentally responsible manufacturers.
Our interior design team created a scheme that perfectly compliments the building; natural colours and a variety of textures add an element of softness and warmth, and provide a contrast to the clean structural lines.
In the living area, semi-sheer curtains give some privacy, whilst still allowing plenty of natural light through. A combination of cut velvets and natural prints adds a playful element, injecting personality into the room.
In the master bedroom, the clients wanted to incorporate some of their most treasured belongings into the design of the room. We took inspiration from a set of Hermes boxes, using the vivid orange colour as an accent to the grey bespoke headboard, bedspreads, cushions and curtains.
The scheme successfully combines our interior design ideas with our clients’ personality; all working together to compliment the natural beauty of the building.
